Elevator Gem, Answered!

Do you remember the post about discovering an eerie, glowing red gemstone by the elevator upstairs?

Turns out it was a stuck on plastic gem, just looking pretty.

This glowing red gem is on the 8th floor elevator panel. It sits above a rectangular opening, which maybe used for forcing the doors to open?

I cannot figure out what it does. Nor have I seen it on any other floors…

Would you look at the size of this elevator? Would you just look at it?

I have seen smaller studios.
