Why did the Partridge Cross the Road?

Why did the partridge cross the road? Because it has been hanging out on Kane street off of Henry. On the way to 368K on Monday and Tuesday, a strange-looking, fat, baby bird crossed my path on Kane street. It was so out of place. I managed to snap as many pix as time allowed. After sending a birder friend of mine the cell phone photos, he told me it is a Chukar Partridge, probably escaped from someone’sbackyard pen, intended for the cooking pot.
