Plenty of the students in my district love the sounds of the NYC subways, from the “stand clear of the closing doors” announcements, to the sound of zooming through a tunnel.
Here is the sound the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) subway makes on its way from the San Fransisco airport to the downtown section of the city.
I recorded it on an trip this last midwinter break. To me, it sounds like we are going at three-times the speed of a NYC train.
