Yes it is true. On the F train at Bergen Street. The ones dripping down from the top are stalactites (quick trick: the “c” is for “ceiling”) and the ones growing up from the bottom are stalagmites (the “g” is for “ground”). Whether they are actually limestone, or even calcium-based, is anyone’s guess.
