I remember an amazing software program called Spore Creature Creator. Players create monster-animals using an amazing variety of drag and drop arms, wings, spines, mandibles, tentacles, etc. The graphics were in 3D and there was motion and sounds. Truly superb. I think it is still around, though it is not web-based.
I started thinking about whether it would be possible to create a Spore emulator with drag-and-drop capabilities, and with an export to stl function to be able to create a 3D print.
Gemini on the Job!
This is the prompt sequence:
- I want you to create an interactive standalone that works like SPore creature creator, except limit it to head, body, legs, arms, tails, wings, horns, mandibles, spikes, tentacles, make them customizable, and make the final project exportable to an stl file
- add rotation to the parts. make parts selectable from within the canvas. also add a delete button
- I want to embed this interactive into my wordpress webpage.
- wordpress does not allow html file uploads, only media file uploads
This is the result:
