Close Encounters

One morning on the way to the office. It reminds me of Close encounters of the third kind.

Bird House, STEM

Students built bird houses out of cardboard.

I Want my Messages NOW

Sadly, I cannot have them.

And yet, I love the graphic.

Thanks, Microsoft Outlook, for letting me down easy.

A Tale as Old as Time

It is really a tail of a mouse, which died in our office in the glue trap. As a former owner of fancy rats, it makes me sad to think of the little critter dying by fright, by thirst, or some combination thereof. Of course, mice are not welcome here either, so there is no good answer.

Car Go Sideways

This robotic car has unusual wheels to enable to move sideways.

Brokeback Canva

Who knew that one design would break Canva? I needed one graphic of a stop sign, so I went to Canva. I logged into my premium educational account; created a new blank whiteboard canvas; found and added one piece of clip art to the page (the stop sign); then tried to download the image to the desktop.

Normal right? Anything seem weird in any way?

No, of course not.

And yet….

That is when the system FAILED!

Canva did not let me download my design because there was ONLY ONE image in my design?!

MS Teams, Stripped Down

When Microsoft Teams had me sign in again, when I updated by password, these were the sign-in and verification pages.

Was it my browser or their website?

AI Battle: Claude vs Raina

Claude, the AI platform by Anthropic, did not correctly count the number of Rs in the word “strawberry.”

Raina, the AI chatbot by MagicSchool, did correctly count the number of Rs in the word “strawberry.”

Raina wins!

(Thank you to Charles Gerber for sharing the Claude result)

What are YOU Thankful for?

These students expressed their thanks for many different things. Some of them are of a religious nature. I appreciate that the school did not edit out those quilt squares in the name of “separation between church and state.”
