Not Just ANY Excellent, but MOST Excellent

The NYCDOE division of human resources is offering an award for outstanding service, and I suppose the division director, or Charles Peeples (the person the award is named after), loved Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

Here is the award info

And here is a most excellent clip from Bill and Ted’s.

PBL (Project-based learning), circa 2024.

This was on a wall. No context.

Book Case or Not!

Think this is a full-sized book case with a normal-sized The Silent Patient?

Think Again!

This is a tabletop book case with dozens of tiny books! To arrange! To rearrange! So fun!

Inclusivity for Wegmans

A recent field trip to Wegmans supermarket in Brooklyn revealed a lovely example of accessibility for its employees. The broom and dustpan (they called it a “butler”) for the custodial staff had photos of the items as well as labels. Reminds me of our accessible classrooms.

Ozobots Race

The clip is 4X speed, and shortened, but you get the idea. The Ozobot robots followed the line, circled at the top, and raced to the finish line. It was the students’ first exposure to the robots, and it was very exciting.

Working for the Man

I appreciate the invitation to join a city-worker dance party.

What it lacks in grammar it makes up for in abbreviations.

Ozobots Follow Directions

Literally, since they following a line on paper. Sometimes they choose a random direction when lines intersect, which is all the more fun.

Here are Ozobot Evo robots in a kindergarten classroom.

The District 75 STEM fair was held at the American Museum of Natural History last week. In the whale room (aka Hall of Life)! The energy was amazing.
